Macaroni Menu: Apple Crisp

This apple crisp recipe is a great way to use up an abundance of fall fruits and makes a great addition to your holiday dessert table.

Crisp ingredients:
  • 10 c apples, peeled, cored and sliced (about 7-8 large apples) 
  • 1 c white sugar
  • 1 TBSP flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
Crumble topping ingredients:
  • 1 c rolled oats
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 c packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder 
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 c butter, melted
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place apples in a 9x13 baking dish.  
  3. Mix sugar, flour, cinnamon & nutmeg together, then sprinkle mix over the apples and toss to coat.
  4. Combine the oats, flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and butter together. Crumble evenly over apples.
  5. Bake for about 45 minutes.
