What is FIRST LEGO League? FIRST LEGO League is an alliance between FIRST (For Inspiration & Recognition of Science & Technology) and the LEGO Group
FIRST LEGO League is the most accessible, guided, global robotics competition, helping students and teachers to build a better future together. The program is built around theme-based Challenges to engage children ages 9 to 16* in research, problem solving, coding, and engineering. The foundation of the program is the FIRST Core Values, which emphasizes teamwork, discovery, and innovation. Students emerge more confident, excited, and equipped with the skills they need in a changing workforce. To learn more about FLL check here
For this event on November 23rd, we have teams from all over the Northern California region including one local team from Brainy Bots competing at this event. Bhawna Madan from our community is volunteering as a Tournament Director and also helping with community hours for our high-schoolers. Interested in community hours? Contact Bhawna by phone or text at 408-470-8795.
Bhawna describes the event as a LEGO robotics competition for kids ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Anyone can make a team and get the team registered with FIRST LEGO League and then with their particular region. There are 32 NorCal regional tournaments in California, including the one happening in Mountain House. It’s an international Robotics competition.
We are all invited to support this event and most important to show our support to the local team. This event is taking place at the Mountain House High School on November 23rd from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
The event is added to the Macaroni Kid calendar
