The journey of “The Party Mix” began in the vibrant fall of 2021 when the beats of Discovery Bay's talented drummer, Glen Sparks, harmonized with the soulful tunes of veteran reggae and rock guitarist/vocalist, Frank Castro. As destiny would have it, bass player John Daugherty and the melodious singer/rhythm guitarist, Ann Baaten, joined the rhythm, completing the ensemble. By the blossoming spring of 2022, The Party Mix found their perfect harmony, ushering in a new era in our local music scene.
Since then, they've ignited stages at clubs, private parties, and various music venues, earning a dedicated fanbase that sways to their rhythm. What sets The Party Mix apart is not just their captivating cover performances but also their originality. In April 2023, they unveiled their EP, "Stand Up, The Party Mix Originals, Volume One," featuring three soul-stirring songs reminiscent of the late 70s/80s hard rock era. The world took notice, with Amazing Radio UK/USA spinning their tracks on their rock/metal station due to popular demand.
